Qatar was hit by heavy rains on Wednesday, causing blocked roads in Doha and outside the capital.
Many schools and offices were closed and there were reports that the Hamad International Airport had also been affected although flights were operating as usual. The US Embassy announced on Twitter that it has been forced to close until next week. Read more: arabnews.com
